The Lewisville Independent School District offers students the opportunity to study privately through an organized private lesson program.  We enthusiastically recommend private instruction with our outstanding private lesson staff here at Forestwood.  Private lessons address individual student needs and help students avoid the natural frustration associated with learning a new skill.  Students studying privately tend to enjoy more regular progress than students without private instruction.

Students are offered one 30-minute lesson each week either before or after school, or during the student's band class.  With many teachers, 60-minute lessons are also available before and after school.  Lesson cost is $24 for a 30-minute lesson.  After your student is assigned a private instructor, the parent is contacted to schedule the specific lesson time.

Lessons are paid for in advance, at the beginning of each month.  Checks are made payable to the instructor.  Please understand private instructors make a living teaching our students. The student must give at least 24 hours notice in order to be excused from a lesson.  Otherwise, the student must be charged for the lesson.
